What begins as a pure excursion, complete with cookout, lake-swimming, and a blooming teenager sentiment amongst Daisy and Eddie, life is soon flipped around for them as war all of a sudden broke out, apparently all of a sudden. Whilst there are indications along the path that of what seems to be a World War III situation, from news footage on TV, indications of military nearness, and so forth., when nuke impact “snow” from a London atomic assault falling on them, despite everything it came as a significant amazement. As the nation slip into a brutal and disorderly military state, Daisy is allowed to come back to America, however yet she stays with Eddie.
The last 50% of the film turns into a voyage for survival story as Daisy and Piper escape a constrained work camp through the forested areas. The pacing of the film drags now and again, and I discover the film’s perseveringly insinuating storyline somewhat disappointing.
